About Event

Miles Johnson is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Morehouse College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism. He later earned his Master’s in Journalism at New York University with a 3.9 GPA.

Miles currently serves as an Associate Digital Producer at Fox Sports, where he creates social content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Threads for studio shows. After producing all the social content for Breakfast Ball, he now works on Fox Sports’ sports betting show Bear Bets and also assists with the hit debate show First Things First.

Outside of Fox Sports, Miles is the creator and host of the "Real Talk with MJ" podcast — a sports talk platform with a special focus on Philadelphia sports. With over 80,000 followers across social platforms, the show has featured interviews with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, including Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Trae Young, Giannis Antetokounmpo, G Herbo, Vic Blends, Cam Kirk, Jaylen Brown, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and more.

What makes Miles’ journey unique is that he has lived with a stutter his entire life. Instead of letting it hold him back, he has used it as motivation to push forward in sports media — inspired by advice from a mentor who also stutters: "Stuttering can be an anchor that holds you back, or a springboard that propels you forward."

One of his proudest moments came in March 2023, when he curated and hosted the "Journey Through Stuttering" panel at Morehouse College, bringing together former NBA player Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and students from Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University to share stories of resilience and empowerment.

Miles is currently exploring writing a book about how embracing his stutter has helped shape his career and build the resilience that drives his success in sports media today.
