​You know the rules. You can follow the game. But you still second-guess your hand, hesitate during the Charleston, or wonder what everyone else at the table seems to know that you don’t.

​The HMS Mahjong Confidence Lab is an intimate, three-week coaching intensive designed to move you from technically knowing how to play to playing with confidence, intention and independence.

​With a maximum of just four players, you’ll receive premium, highly individualized coaching through real games—plus targeted homework and priority feedback throughout the experience.

​Week One: Building Winning Hands

​Learn to make faster, stronger decisions from the beginning of the game.

• ​Practice games with active coaching

​Week Two: Defensive Mahjong

​Stop playing only your own rack and begin reading the entire table.

• ​Reading discards and exposures

• ​Recognizing dangerous tiles

• ​Knowing when another player is close

• ​When to break up your own hand

• ​Joker strategy

• ​Deciding when to push—and when to fold

​Week Three: Playing Like a Regular

​Bring everything together and learn to play confidently without constant reassurance.

​Who It’s For

​Confidence Lab is designed for players who already understand the basic rules of American mahjong and have played before, but want more strategy, independence and confidence at the table.

​This is not a first-time beginner course. If you still need to learn the tiles, Charleston and basic mechanics of play, HMS Foundations is the better starting point.
