Warhammer Ruinous Tide: S0 The Undertow of Chaos
THE RUINOUS TIDE
Session Zero: The Undertow of Chaos
The Empire is too busy tearing itself apart to look north.
Rival emperors claim the throne, and Sigmar’s priests preach for whichever one pays the tithe. The merchants of the river cities count their coin, and the Elector Counts bicker over borders, crowns and old grudges. Far to the north the snows are melting early, and nobody south of the Middle Mountains has noticed.
But the signs are there for anyone willing to look. Morrslieb hangs low and sickly green. Calves are born with too many eyes. Riverboats come back with empty decks, and the bells of a village temple rang all night with no one pulling the ropes.
You are not heroes. Not yet. You are ratcatchers and road wardens, scholars and sell-swords, people who should never have crossed paths. Then, on the same night and in the same place, each of you sees something you cannot unsee.
Something is pulling beneath the surface of the Old World. It is patient, and it is rising.
At Session Zero we will:
Create your characters, with their histories, their secrets and their reasons to keep going
Discover the grim portent that binds your fates together
Take your first steps into the rising tide of Chaos
The water is already at the door.
