Fish&Bear Online Pilot Event

​We think the next step for Fish And Bear is to create an online version. We are still building in-person events because nothing beats their impact. But this might be a way to help people try Fish And Bear in the easiest possible way, so that going to an in-person event will be the obvious next step.

​We have done this before during the pandemic, and it worked well. It was just a lot of work at the time because the tools I needed to run it, I had to create myself. Now Zoom has a Timer, Luma has ticketing, and all I need is a simple way to show the storytellers’ order.

​Anyhow, this will be a ‘learning opportunity’.

​What to expect, other than a ‘learning opportunity’?

​Once everyone has signed in to the meeting and we’ve gone through the logistics, there will be the name story, a beginning story, and a jigsaw. Just like at the in-person meetings. But there will be no break, and the whole thing should be completed in an hour. To achieve this timeframe, we will need to limit the number of storytellers. If you've been to our events, you will know that most of the time is spent listening, so even if you aren't one of the storytellers this time, you will get the same feeling of connection by being a listener.

​As a final note, I'd love to get feedback and suggestions after the event. This is a new part of the journey, and I don't have all of the answers, so your help would be much appreciated.
