The Physical Layer: Fireside with Freesia from On Zero

​The Physical Layer is a hardware and frontier event series by Blackbird.

​This is an important moment to be working on hard physical problems, and we want more students, grads, and early-mid career engineers taking a bet on themselves and starting companies around ambitious problems.

​We're bringing together engineers for a fireside with Freesia Gaul from On Zero. While at uni, Freesia hacked together a haptic glove in her dorm room — and at 19, turned it into On Zero, a startup bringing touch and gesture tracking to XR, raising her first round along the way, and dropping out of university.

​We will also have the Blackbird investment team to talk about what we look for in founders who are right at the beginning of their journey.
