Two Screens, One FIFA Cup.
LBank will host a 16-player Futures FIFA Cup during MERGE Madrid week. Single elimination on two stations, short halves, no extra time before the final. If a match runs long, it goes to penalties.
Between rounds there is pizza, beer, and two open speed-chess tables with clocks. Chess is drop-in, not a bracket (if demand is big, we can set up a 4-8 person elimination tournament. Grab a board when you are off a console or just enjoy pizza and a match.
We will also play a guessing game of "Guess the Price" for Bitcoin. Winners will have prizes.
Who it is for: MERGE guests who want a short, competitive night near Cibeles. Players, traders, and people who prefer to watch from the rail.
What to expect:
Doors 19:00-19:15. Ticket check at the desk.
19:40 FIFA round of 16. Bracket closes then. Empty seeds go to the waitlist in the room.
Quarters, semis, and the final on the hero screen.
Winner announced around 21:10. Photos, then hard close at 21:30.
Two chess tables open from doors until close - king of the table is law.
