Talk Title: Partial reprogramming therapies for brain aging and Alzheimer’s
Yuri Deigin, MBA, is a biotech entrepreneur, and longevity research advocate. He is best known as the co-founder and CEO of YouthBio Therapeutics, a company focused on developing tissue-specific gene therapies based on partial cellular reprogramming to combat age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
Before YouthBio, Deigin was active in several early-stage biotechnology ventures, some aiming at Alzheimer’s therapeutics or neuroprotectors, and has leveraged his expertise in drug development and licensing.
He has also been vocal in the longevity community since about 2017, championing research into rejuvenation, aging, and epigenetic therapies.
Deigin holds a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Toronto and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2010.
Outside of his biotech work, he contributes to public discourse around aging, disease, and scientific policy, and has been involved in investigations of the origins of SARS-CoV-2.
