Scaling Ideas: Networking with GASB & Corden BioChem
Join us for an evening of relaxed networking, deep conversations, and an exclusive look at Corden BioChem’s new Berlin site.
Hosted at Corden’s development and small-scale production facility in Berlin, this meetup brings together founders, scientists, and SynBio enthusiasts working on microbial fermentation, biomanufacturing, and sustainable bio-based products. Whether you're optimizing strains, scaling up production, or exploring contract manufacturing routes, this is a space to share ideas, make connections, and unwind with fellow innovators.
We'll kick off with a short greeting by GASB and introduction to Corden's capabilities by Dr. Björn Weiske and Dr. Tobias Thiele, followed by open networking over drinks and snacks.
🎤 About the speakers:
Dr. Björn Weiske is Business Development Manager at Corden BioChem Berlin and Venture Development Manager at ICIG Ventures. With a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering from TU Berlin, he previously scaled microbial production processes up to 120 m³ as Process Engineer and Project Manager in biotech production.
Dr. Tobias Thiele is Head of Development at Corden BioChem Berlin. He brings nearly two decades of experience across food technology, industrial biotech, and fermentation scale-up, including roles at Bayer CropScience, evoxx technologies, and Novozymes, where he led microbial USP and DSP process development.
