​The event is hosted by Do2Gether, a project aimed at promoting and simplifying how students meet and connect. I understand how difficult it can be to put yourself out there, especially when anxiety still creeps in, even at social events—where it should be easier to approach others. Through Do2Gether, I’m experimenting with ways to make the UWaterloo community more connected and supportive. ​What's Social Deduction?

​Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with how the games work - we will go over the rules at the beginning (just don’t be late 🙂). Social deduction games, like Mafia, revolve around players using observation, discussion, and bluffing to figure out hidden roles in the group. In these games, a small team works in secret to outwit the majority, while everyone else tries to expose them. Mafia is one of the most popular social deduction games, where some players secretly belong to the mafia and must eliminate the other players without being discovered, while the rest of the group (villagers) work together to figure out who the mafia are before it’s too late.
