Building a Fundraising Pipeline — Sources of Funding
In our first session, we built a strong business plan. Now, let's explore where to find the capital to execute it.
In this second OpenBuilder Fundraising Masterclass, we'll explore funding sources, including angel investors, venture capital firms, crowdfunding platforms, and incubators, then get practical about finding opportunities that fit your venture.
What we'll work through:
Understand your funding options: What do different funders look for, and what do they expect in return?
Find the right fit: Which funding sources align with your venture's stage, sector, geography, and capital needs?
Build your fundraising pipeline: Learn how to research investor portfolios, comparable ventures, previous grant winners, and pitch competitions to identify relevant funding opportunities.
Your goal: Leave with a pipeline of at least 25 potential investors, funds, or funding opportunities worth pursuing.
This is a practical work-along session. Come with your business plan from Session 01, if you have one, and a laptop to research and build your pipeline as we go.
