Founder Mode With a Twist: No Decks, Just Jokes
A friend asked me recently, “Are you going to do another comedy night this year? I missed the one last year.”
I laughed. I still don’t think I’m funny enough, but apparently my deadpan and ability to make strangers laugh when they sit next to me is my thing.
So I decided… why not? Let’s do it again.
Last year, I thought I was hosting a comedy night.
Afterwards, one guest described it much better:
“An entrepreneurs’ meetup, open mic, birthday, and games night all rolled into one.”
Some people came alone. Some barely knew me. Almost everyone stayed until the end. People made actual friends.
And that, more than the jokes, is why I wanted to bring it back.
Founder Mode (With a Twist) is a small dinner gathering for people building something outside the default path: founders, creators, operators, career-changers, portfolio-life people, and anyone figuring things out in real time.
Dinner is included. Coming alone is completely normal. And you absolutely do not have to perform.
And when I say dinner is included, I mean an actual sit-down dinner — shared starters, a main, sides and dessert. Come hungry.
Expect good food, funny / honest stories, founder confessions, career pivots, chaotic lessons, a tiny optional open mic, and the kind of conversations that usually happen after the official networking event is over.
No panels. No pitch decks. No forced networking.
There will be stories throughout the night, some on the mic, probably many more around the dinner table.
Come for the jokes. Stay for the people.
Early Bird tickets are £65 and limited. Standard tickets are £75. Dinner is included in both.
