For many Muslim students, college is one of the most formative periods of their lives. It can be a time where they find strong Muslim friendships, grow closer to Allah, and build a lasting connection to their community — or a time where they feel isolated, disconnected, and struggle to hold onto their deen.
That is why this fundraiser matters.
Funds raised will directly support the effort to build a strong, welcoming, and thriving Muslim community at the University of Washington. We want Muslim students to have places to gather, people to turn to, opportunities to grow in their faith, and a community where they genuinely feel that they belong.
Your support will help fund:
Islamic House, our campus mosque and community space, including day-to-day operations, repairs, and important security improvements so students have a safe and reliable place to pray, gather, and build community.
MSA events and community programming that bring Muslim students together, create friendships, foster belonging, and strengthen the Muslim community on campus.
Islamic and spiritual programming that gives students opportunities to grow closer to Allah and continue developing in their deen throughout college.
Dawah and outreach efforts that create opportunities to share Islam and meaningfully engage with the broader UW and Seattle community.
Programs supporting Muslim students socially, spiritually, and professionally, helping ensure that students do not have to navigate college alone.
This fundraiser is about more than paying for events. It is about investing in the environment Muslim students will spend some of the most important years of their lives in.
Every gathering, every prayer at Islamic House, every halaqah, every social event, and every new friendship can become part of what keeps a student connected to Islam and to a strong Muslim community.
Our goal is to build a campus where Muslim students do not simply get through college, but leave with stronger faith, stronger friendships, and a stronger connection to their Muslim community.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We also accept company matching, meaning eligible donations may be matched by employers and have an even greater impact.
