Design For A Cause 2026

Design For A Cause is a benefit event dedicated to raising funds to provide a scholarship for the Children's Therapy Spot, a specialized multidisciplinary clinic offering speech, occupational, and physical therapy. These services allow children with a wide variety of diagnoses to achieve their fullest potential at home and in school. Thanks to the 2024 Design For A Cause Benefit, in the last year, 12 families received essential therapy support.
Highlights of the Evening:
Chef Curated Hors d'oeuvres and Grazing Table: Foodie & Tina will be curating a beautiful selection of sushi, enjoy a grazing table filled with an array of foods, and we'll end the evening with ice cream from Zedd's Ice Cream Cart.
Wine Tasting: Elevate your palate with a curated selection of fine wines from around the world, enhancing your evening with a touch of sophistication.
Beer and Cocktails: Local beer sponsors and cocktail sponsors, expertly served by Too Shay Spirits, fill our bar with a taste of Austin.
Raffle: Take your chances at our exciting raffle for the opportunity to win incredible gifts while supporting a noble cause.
Live Music: Dart Collective will curate the soundtrack of the evening, setting the perfect mood from cocktail hour to last call.
Why It Matters:
The Children's Therapy Spot is a group of clinicians dedicated to providing innovative and compassionate evaluations and treatment in the fields of Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. They strive to interact and stimulate their clients in a dynamic and multi-dimensional manner through fun and functional experiences, as they become the best communicators they can be, while both enjoying and understanding their world.
Unfortunately, for children lacking insurance coverage or facing restrictions on covered services, the financial burden can be significant.
The typical expense for one therapeutic discipline, administered once a week, can amount to approximately $5,000 annually. If a child requires multiple disciplines, the annual cost may reach $10,000.
In cases involving children with Autism, the expenditure could soar to $20,000 minimum.
Even when insurance partially covers therapy expenses, families often face substantial out-of-pocket costs, which can accumulate to several thousand dollars per child each year.
By attending this event and contributing to the fund, you are helping to provide access to essential therapy services for these children, ensuring they have every chance to flourish.
