A multicultural community expedition exploring the ancient landscapes, mountain roads, oak valleys, lakes, and cultural history of Southern California.
This is not a commercial tour. It is a collaborative exploration caravan built around storytelling, photography, nature, discovery, community, and shared experience.
Participants travel in their own vehicles as part of the Assembly Expedition caravan.

Arrival & Ancient Water Routes

Focus: Ancient water routes, early California landscapes, first expedition field notes.
🌌 Evening gathering in San Diego.
DAY 2 — May 27
South County Scenic Caravan
📍 Lower Otay Lake 📍 Jamul Scenic Corridor 📍 Lyons Valley Road 📍 East County photo stops
Focus: Open landscapes, hidden California roads, caravan movement, visual storytelling.
🌄 Sunset arrival: 📍 Viejas Casino & Resort
DAY 3 — May 28
Sacred Landscapes Expedition
📍 Hollenbeck Canyon overlook 📍 Descanso Scenic Corridor 📍 Piedras Pintadas Trailhead 📍 Green Valley Falls 📍 Lake Cuyamaca 📍 Julian
Focus: Sacred landscapes, oak valleys, mountain California, storytelling through landscape.
🌌 Evening return to Viejas Basecamp.
DAY 4 — May 29
Community Exploration Day
Flexible exploration day:
photography
documentary filming
cultural discussions
scenic drives
optional lakeside gathering
expedition media creation
Possible locations: 📍 Cuyamaca area 📍 Oak groves 📍 Viejas mountain region
🌿 Sunset community gathering.
DAY 5 — May 30
Return Through Old California
📍 Julian morning stop 📍 Mountain scenic roads 📍 Optional California roadside stops
Return caravan toward Costa Mesa.
Focus: Reflection, shared memories, future routes, community connections.
