Webinar & Fundraiser: Building Diverse Design Teams

Join Kevin Bethune and Doug Powell for a special edition of This is a Prototype: The Design Leadership Podcast benefiting DESIGN=, a Diversify by Design program that provides free design curriculum kits, training, mentorship, and career guidance to middle- and high-school classrooms in marginalized communities.

Design leader, best-selling author, TV presenter, and keynote speaker, Kevin Bethune, and design leader and educator, Doug Powell, will discuss Kevin’s new book Nonlinear: Navigating Design with Curiosity and Conviction, and examine the current state of diversity and equity in the design industry. They will be joined by special guests from the Diversify by Design Advisory Council and design luminaries.

The current landscape for critical education programs and organizations is brutal—and this is an important way for our community to galvanize and take action on this important issue. DESIGN= has engaged over 2,000 historically excluded students to date, but this is a drop in the bucket!

This is a free event, with a suggested donation to DESIGN=. If you are unable to join us for the live event, you can contribute to the DESIGN= fundraiser here.
