About Event

We invite you to join us in celebrating the life and legacy of Greg Caws—a visionary leader, dedicated innovator, and cherished friend whose influence helped shape B.C.'s tech community.

Greg was not only the former president and CEO of Innovate BC and a founding member and Board Director of DIGITAL, he also served as the former president of the Premier’s Technology Council, and previous chair of the board and CEO of VIATEC. His brilliance, generosity, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others left an indelible mark on British Columbia's technology sector and beyond. Greg’s passion for innovation was matched by his advocacy for inclusivity, equity, and representation he championed in every space he entered.

Through his work with DIGITAL, Innovate BC, and countless other initiatives, Greg united teams, mentored emerging leaders, and inspired excellence across Canada’s innovation ecosystem. His energy and optimism helped build a collaborative community focused on solving real-world challenges through technology.

Send in your photos

We will be putting together a photo montage of Greg throughout the years to be played during the reception. If you have any photos you’d like to share, please send them to Elysa at [email protected] by October 10, 2025.

Greg’s Legacy

Greg’s leadership helped build a more connected, inclusive, and forward-thinking tech community. He was a mentor, a collaborator, and a friend to many—always generous with his time, wisdom, and heart. Outside of his professional life, Greg was a devoted husband and father, and a lover of the outdoors who lived life with joy and purpose.

We gather to honour his memory, reflect on his contributions, and carry forward the vision he helped create.
