​About Patrick Burke:

​Patrick Burke has been the Vice President of Player Safety for the National Hockey League (NHL) since 2021. He has worked in the NHL Department of Player Safety since 2013. In addition to his work in Player Safety, Burke is a former amateur scout for the Philadelphia Flyers and a law school graduate. While in law school, he co-founded and led the ESPN Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award-winning LGBTQ+ nonprofit You Can Play Project, negotiating deals such as an NFL sponsorship while still in law school.

​The Center for Corporate Law and Governance (CCLG) at Rutgers Law School is recognized as the preeminent resource for corporate law and governance issues in legal, business and nonprofit communities. CCLG serves as a home and base of operations for Rutgers Law faculty teaching corporate law, business law and corporate governance subjects. CCLG focuses on both common themes and industry-specific issues in promoting reform and best practices, developing a practical approach to corporate law and governance issues.
