Topic:
The Intelligence Imperative: Defending against A.I. at Machine Speed
The threat has gone autonomous.
Frontier AI models — the same large language models and generative AI systems organisations are racing to deploy — are simultaneously being weaponised by adversaries to generate attacks at a volume, velocity, and complexity that human-led security operations can no longer keep pace with.
AI-powered adversaries now craft malware at scale, automate lateral movement inside compromised environments, and discover vulnerabilities faster than patches can be written. The human response model is broken. Autonomous defence is no longer aspirational — it is the only operationally viable answer.
But speed alone is not enough. Accurate intelligence makes autonomous defence right, not just fast. The question is no longer whether to defend autonomously. It is whether your organisation is defending the right things, with the right intelligence.
The panel will examine the intelligence imperative behind autonomous cyber defence — and what it means for strategy, governance, and accountability. It will be structured around three themes before opening the floor to all attendees:
The Speed Trap — Fast Is Not the Same as Right
From Indicators to Intent — The Intelligence Imperative
Govern Before You Scale — Autonomy Without Accountability Is Risk
This panel will be moderated by Jason Steer, CISO of Recorded Future, joined by Meng Liu, Principal Analyst at Forrester Research, and Danny Chan, Chief Security Officer Asia Pacific at Mastercard.
Seating is strictly limited to ensure the depth and candour this conversation demands.
