SGM Semester 1 2025

UQIES Special General Meeting – Mid-Year Member Event

The UQ Innovation & Entrepreneurship Society (UQIES) invites all members to attend a Special General Meeting (SGM) — a rare mid-year gathering outside of our usual Annual General Meeting (AGM) schedule.

This SGM has been called to share several important updates and provide members with an opportunity to directly influence the direction of the society moving forward.

Key highlights of the event include:

• Announcement of our Interim President: Be among the first to hear who will be stepping into this key leadership role.

• Election of the Interim Treasurer: Members will have the chance to hear from candidates and vote to fill this crucial committee position.

• Semester 1 Feedback Session: Share your experiences and ideas with the committee. Your input will help us improve the club for the rest of the year.

• Additional Announcements & Surprises: A few extra updates and lighthearted moments are planned to make the evening both productive and enjoyable.

This is a valuable opportunity for members to engage with the committee, have their voices heard, and play a role in shaping the future of UQIES. Whether you're new to the society or a returning member, your participation is encouraged and appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you there.
