​Discover diverse pathways to meaningful climate work as five Work on Climate community members from various climate and sustainability sectors divulge their transitions and strategies for overcoming ecosystem barriers.

​Each speaker will have 5 minutes to share their success story. This will be followed by a Q&A segment and breakout room sessions, where you can connect directly with speakers and other attendees.

​Charles Yang
Role: Energy Supply Chain Fellow at the Department of Energy
Sector: Energy / Government

​Charles Yang has a diverse background, originally starting out as an engineer at an AI startup, but has pivoted into climate and never looked back! He is currently an Energy Supply Chain Fellow at the Department of Energy (via ORISE) in the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, but previously also worked at ARPA-E on quantum computing and Berkeley National Lab on AI for science applications.

​Jennifer Owens
Role: Director of Marketing at Flowcarbon
Sector: Carbon Finance/Climate Tech

​Jennifer Owens is an ESG content strategy executive and founder focused on sustainability and diversity issues. She leads marketing at Flowcarbon and recently served as Global Content Strategy Lead on Meta’s Sustainability team. She founded Jennwork, an independent content strategy firm that works with mission-driven clients and hosts Engaging ESG, a podcast focused on the highs and lows of ESG communications. 

​Yejide Olutosin
Role: Director, Business Climate Finance, at Impact Experience Sustainable Finance
Sector: Social Impact

​Yejide Olutosin leads Impact Experience's Business Climate Finance initiative, which promotes racial equity and sustainability in corporate finance and retirement plans. With a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion approach, she focuses on major U.S. companies. Olutosin holds a bachelor's degree from Howard University, where she was a Gilman Scholar in Dakar, Senegal. Her journey includes Peace Corps service and extensive experience with energy access programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. She gained finance expertise at J.P. Morgan Private Bank after earning her MBA from George Washington University as a Forté Fellow.

​Mahima Moolbharati
Role: Project Engineer at BEE Incorporations Green Buildings
Sector: Sustainability 

​An engineer mixed with a social scientist, I am a sustainability professional with a drive to make a positive impact on climate action, climate finance, and sustainability transitions. I bring extensive experience in stakeholder collaboration, climate change governance, and program implementation.

​Douglas Greenwell
Chief Revenue Officer, Sylvera
Sector: Carbon Credit Ratings

​Originally a Physics & Computer Scientist, I decided early in my career to focus on (initially) product marketing for data & software products in the finance industry. I have managed to work across multiple industries providing both marketing & sales leadership, along with strategic planning for companies such as Reuters, Dow Jones & American Express, and recently for both VC & PE-backed companies. I have spent the last 15-months immersed in climate solutions both advising start-ups as well as trying to get my own company off the ground (868data).
