About Event

For athletes, staying healthy is often built into the routine. Training facilities, coaches, teammates, recovery resources, and structured schedules all play a role in supporting performance. But when an athletic career comes to an end, much of that support can disappear with it.

The Long Run, powered by On, is a conversation about what comes next.

Hosted by PRSVRE, this free event will bring together athletes (Past and Present), fitness enthusiasts and members of the sports community for a night of networking, food and conversations exploring how we can all build healthy, sustainable lifestyles beyond competition. Hear from former D1 Women's Basketball player Hanna Hall and former Laurier Football player Daishane Johnson as we explore redefining our relationship with movement to creating new routines, finding community, and navigating life after high-performance sport, we’ll examine what it means to prioritize your health for the long run.

The experience continues the following morning (September 5th) with an opportunity to attend a community run led by Toronto-based I Don’t Run Club (IDRC), bringing the conversation to life through movement, connection, and a different way of staying active.

Because your playing career may have an end date. Your relationship with movement doesn’t have to.

THIS EVENT IS PERFECT FOR YOU IF YOU'RE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • You're a former athlete, navigating the transition of life without sport

  • You're a current athlete (ideally close to graduation), looking to learn more and prepare for the transition into life without sport

  • You're a fitness enthusiast who's looking to learn ways to build healthy practices into you routine

  • You're someone who cares about improving their overall health and wellness
