Local Campaigns in Review: Lessons from Local Elections
What does it take to run a local political campaign? What works, what doesn't, and what do campaign teams learn along the way?
Join Whatcom Young Progressives for an evening conversation with local campaign managers as they reflect on the 2026 election and share lessons from the campaign trail. They'll about what went well, what was challenging, and what others can learn from their experience.
During the evening you'll hear from:
Alex Woodall, Campaign Coordinator for Joe Timmons (WA House of Representatives, 42nd LD)
Christiana Valentine, Field Organizer, No Hate in Washington State (I-001 & I-638)
Autumn Kasprowicz, Regional Field Organizer, Rick Larsen (US House of Representatives)
Ryan Geller, Campaign Coordinator for Michael Shepard (WA Senate, 42nd LD)
Eukia Lemaster, Senior Organizer for Community First Whatcom (Initiative 26-01 - Prohibition of Algorithmic Price-Fixing in the Rental Market)
Erin Lee, Coalition Manager, Vote NO on Initiative 645
After the panel, stick around to ask questions, meet fellow young progressives, and connect with others interested in getting involved in our community.
