About Event

Best Time: Late June – Early September
Best Stargazing Weekends: July 10–13 or August 7–11 (Milky Way core season).
Where to Camp: Halfmoon Road dispersed camping near Leadville with views of Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive.
Kayaking: Twin Lakes Reservoir – beautiful alpine lake reflections.
Best Hike (<10 miles): Interlaken Trail – ~4 miles round trip with historic ruins and lakeshore scenery.
Hot Springs: Mount Princeton Hot Springs nearby.

Additional Activities: 🚂 Leadville Scenic Railroad: Historic train ride through alpine valleys, 🏔 National Mining Hall of Fame: Cool museum explaining how Colorado mining towns formed. 🐐 Mount Massive Fish Hatchery Tour: One of the largest trout hatcheries in the U.S.

· Independence Pass scenic mountain drive
