Pashtun Millennials: Politics, Community & Resistance
How are Pashtun Millennials in Pakistan rewriting the narrative around Pashtun representation through their social and political activism? From challenging patriarchal norms and creating networks of solidarity to active participation in the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), these efforts demonstrate a reclaiming of identity and a commitment to peace, justice, and accountability within their communities. Join us on the 22nd of November at Donaustr. 84 for a conversation with Mateeullah Tareen and Abida Bano on the ways in which young Pashtun men and women, through music, poetry, digital activism, and civic engagement, are actively reshaping the possibilities and expressions of political participation and resistance.
