Meet Our Tea Farmer | Matcha Tasting with Daiki Tanaka
Join Our Matcha Tasting with d:matcha Kyoto
We’re excited to welcome Daiki Tanaka, owner of our partner tea farm d:matcha Kyoto to Berlin for a special afternoon dedicated to the depth, craftsmanship, and diversity of Japanese matcha.
On Sunday, Feburary 22nd, we will open the doors to our tea studio in Prenzlauer Berg for an educational matcha tasting, offering a rare opportunity to learn directly from Daiki-san, the farmer behind our award-winning matcha grown in one of Japan’s most respected tea regions.
Together, we’ll taste a variety of d:matcha's single-cultivar matcha teas and learn what distinguishes high-quality, single-origin, and sustainably grown matcha from conventionally produced matcha.
During this intimate session, we will talk about cultivation methods, cultivar differences, terroir, and the realities of the current global matcha market. We will also have time for a personal Q&A with Daiki-san to ask further questions.
