Chilly Central Park 5K

​Heat 001 of Heats NYC. Free community 5Ks across New York.

​Start at Engineers' Gate (5th Ave & E 90th St) any time on Saturday and run 5K in Central Park. Sunrise, lunch break or after dark. No start gun, no bibs, no entry fee. Every pace counts. Walk it if you want.

​How it works

​1. RSVP right here.

​2. Run 5K from Engineers' Gate on Saturday, Oct 10. Track it on Strava.

​3. Post your screenshot at heats.run by 11:59 PM. Use Strava's share card, the one with the map behind it.

​4. Get stamped. The Chilly Central Park stamp lands in your run passport and you're on the heat sheet.

​Everyone who finishes gets the Founding Runner medal. It will never be given out again.

• ​Start and finish at Engineers' Gate. Any 5K route inside the park counts.

• ​Free, every pace, no cutoff.
