Toronto TCM Walk: Your Cravings & Body Signals πΏ
βFriendly Note: This is a new walk series in partnership with Aurum Medicine and Wellness. Here are all the TCM walks for July and more dates coming in August!
βThere's a concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) called ι€η (Yang Sheng) and it's essentially the practice of tending to your life through the basics. The foundational stuff that isn't another comprehensive health protocol but quietly keeps everything else running.
βThe TCM Walk series is built around that idea.
βWhat's this about π
βYou know that 3 PM sugar pull. Or the reason you reach for something salty before your period. Or why you want cold drinks constantly in the summer even though you know it's probably not helping.
βIn TCM, cravings aren't random. They're your body trying to get your attention.
βFor this first walk, we're sitting down at a cafΓ© with a TCM practitioner from Aurum Medicine & Wellness Clinic, Melissa Ong R.TCMP R.Ac, to unpack what your cravings are actually pointing to. What they mean through the five elements, how they shift with the seasons, what your body is trying to self-regulate, and how your emotional patterns show up in what you reach for. Then we walk over to a local TCM store to look at some common ingredients you can actually start adding into your day.
βYou'll leave with a different way of reading your body and a few things you can realistically do about it.
βThis walk is for you if...
βYou're a founder, solopreneur, creative, or executive who has been running on stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or even burnout for longer than you'd like to admit.
βYou notice patterns in your body but never had a framework to make sense of them.
βYour cravings shift with your cycle or your mood and you've always wondered why.
βYou're curious about TCM but don't know where to start without it feeling like a whole thing.
βWhat you'll walk away with
ββ A real framework for understanding what your cravings are telling you
β A few ingredients and small habits you can actually weave into your week
β An introduction to Yang Sheng as something you'll keep coming back to
β A small group of people you genuinely enjoyed an afternoon with
βπ Bonus resources for everyone who shows up π
β A complimentary 15-minute personalized TCM assessment and discovery call with Melissa Ong R.TCMP R.Ac, Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalist and Practitioner at Aurum Medicine & Wellness Clinic
β A mini TCM resource guide handout to take home
βGood to know π§Ί
βSpots are capped and vetted to keep the group intentional. Wear comfortable shoes, bring something to take notes if that's your thing, and come curious about what your body has been trying to tell you.
βMeet Your Hosts
βHi, I'm Michelle ππ»
βI'm a former B2B SaaS marketer turned Intuitive Business Strategist and someone who has been quietly weaving TCM philosophy into how I work with people for a while now. The way a good TCM practitioner listens and understands before they prescribe anything, that's also how I approach my client sessions.
βThis new walk series is my way of bringing that same energy into a more relaxed setting for people who are ready to stop overcomplicating their health protocols and get back to building their internal foundations.
