Mathematicians like Augustin-Louis Cauchy, Joseph Fourier, Blaise Pascal, and Henri Poincaré laid the foundations for many scientific advancements. This legacy of scientific discovery 🔬📚 and intellectual rigor has produced many AI pioneers. Yann LeCun, the father of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), is now Meta’s Chief AI Scientist. Gaël Varoquaux and his team at INRIA developed scikit-learn, a widely used data science library. François Chollet, creator of the Keras deep learning library, also hails from France.
