​Come hear one of the most honest and realistic conversations you’ll find about what it’s actually like to live there.

​This talk session will feature two perspectives: an American who lived in Japan through the JET Programme, and a Japanese speaker who was born and raised in Japan. Together, they will offer a uniquely balanced view: one from an American navigating Japanese society, and one from a Japanese perspective on what it’s like for foreigners to live in Japan.

​This event is not sponsored by any organization, so there is no need to sugarcoat anything. Expect an honest, practical, and real conversation.

​The session will mainly focus on the experience of living in Japan through the JET Programme, what the JET Programme is, the application process, and different ways to move to Japan. Throughout the presentation, the Japanese speaker will also add context, commentary, and cultural perspective.

​We’ll also have a Q&A session and time for attendees to connect with each other. It’s a great opportunity to meet others who are also interested in moving to Japan.
