About Event

Join the Society for People Analytics Northwest Ohio community for an interactive afternoon exploring how people data can help us ask better questions and make better workplace decisions.

No analytics background required.

People analytics doesn’t start with data. It starts with a good question.

Join us at The Loft 419 for the first Society for People Analytics meetup in Northwest Ohio.

This interactive afternoon is for professionals who are curious about how people and workforce data can help us better understand what’s happening inside our organizations and make more informed decisions.

Rather than spending the afternoon listening to presentations, we’ll learn from one another through facilitated discussion, a people analytics gallery walk, a collaborative workplace case challenge, and an ethics exercise exploring some of the complicated questions that come with using employee data.

We’ll explore questions such as:

  • What workforce questions are organizations trying to answer?

  • What can our data actually tell us, and what can’t it tell us?

  • How do we separate evidence from assumptions?

  • When does using employee data cross an ethical line?

  • What people analytics topics should our Northwest Ohio community explore next?

We’ll draw from the Society for People Analytics Body of Knowledge, including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee experience, workforce planning, and ethics.

Who should attend?

You do not need to be a people analytics professional or data expert. This meetup is designed for anyone interested in making better decisions about people and work, including professionals working in HR, talent, organizational development, learning and development, workforce planning, analytics, operations, I-O psychology, consulting, and organizational leadership.

Come prepared to contribute your experiences, questions, and curiosity.
