About

At Figuring Shit Out, we put on events for Founders who don't normally go to events. We didn't believe Singapore needed another panel, fireside chat or Q&A so we did the radical step of asking speakers think ahead of time about what they wanted to say. Beyond palatable food & hopefully more than palatable networking, why schlep across town to sit in a cramped room for an hour: Perspective!

All our speakers come from fascinating career backgrounds that caused them to look at the world and think about problems in uniquely insightful ways. Each of our talks provides a unique lens on the problems facing startups that Founders can absorb to provide a new toolkit of insights for their own founder journey.

Topic

A couple of years ago I stood in front of five hundred colleagues at LEGO's annual Play Day and sang "We Are the Champions". All five hundred sang it back. It was the best evening of my career, but still I could not sleep well.

On the 23rd I'll tell you the full story. My first year at The LEGO Group, when nothing worked. The mindset I had to build, the autopilot I began to notice around me – with every new idea getting the same reply: "we have always done it this way." The uncomfortable questions our team began to ask, the incredible growth that followed, and the night the question turned on me and what it led me to.

It's a talk about agency – the heart of the Navigator Mindset: looking left and right, spotting the hidden crossroads, and choosing a path with agency. Sometimes the road straight ahead might not be the right one.

About the Speaker

Rohan Mathur is the founder of Crossroads Navigator Pte. Ltd., where he enables leaders and organisations to navigate the moments when the old playbook stops working – through keynotes, AI workshops, and fractional CMO/CGO roles for SMEs. He also builds AI hands-on – the AI Lab he created for a 200-client accounting firm delivers 2–3× productivity on its target workflows.

Before that he spent 18 years in commercial and marketing leadership at Procter & Gamble and The LEGO Group across APAC. He has led market entry into India, Indonesia and Vietnam, built a team of 30+ across 11 markets, and drove the Southeast Asia turnaround from single-digit growth to 3× topline and 10x ecommerce growth – including partnerships with F1, McLaren, Disney and BTS. He left in April 2026, at the peak.

He is a TEDx speaker with 50+ keynotes and workshops for clients including Citibank, UBS, Grab, Sephora and PropertyGuru, and holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He lives in Singapore with his entrepreneur wife, CA Jagariti Mathur, and their two children in local primary schools.
