Operational Resilience and Governance in 2027

​From 18 March 2027, every FCA-authorised firm must report operational incidents that meet the FCA's thresholds.

​Banks, insurers, payment and e-money institutions, enhanced SM&CR firms and some other firm types must also notify the FCA of new or significantly changed material third-party arrangements and submit a register of those arrangements every year.

​Meeting the new requirements needs organisation-wide involvement, with compliance, IT, procurement and the board all having important roles to play.
