TNYC 2027 GRC: Living Together in Difference - Authority, Responsibility, and Ethical Imagination
We’re excited to announce The New York Center’s first in-person Group Relations Conference since 2019.
The campus is approximately two hours by train from New York City. The conference invites participants to explore how we live and work together across differences—and what makes ethical action possible within groups and organizations.
Together, we will examine how ethical imagination is found or lost within a temporary learning cooperative, and how authority, responsibility, and interdependence shape our capacity to face today’s dilemmas.
This conference reimagines familiar Group Relations structures through two distinctive elements:
A cooperative matrix replaces the traditional Institutional Event, inviting members to build and navigate real organizational structures together.
A collective art installation will evolve alongside the group’s exploration of the temporary organization, creating another way to experience and reflect on the group’s work.
Join us for three days of experiential learning, inquiry, and exploration of what it means to live together in difference.
