Negative Emissions Pavillion: CEEZER x BeZero - The integrity stack: How ratings, standards, and insurance turn claims into a credible CDR
Buyers rarely build a credible removal portfolio off one project's paperwork, they build it on a stack of independent checks: ratings agencies scoring project-level risk, standards bodies deciding which credits even count toward a claim, and insurers underwriting the risk that a project falls short.
That stack got a lot more consequential in 2026: ICVCM approved its first Core Carbon Principles labels for engineered removal methods, SBTi's Net-Zero Standard v2.0 started dictating which credits satisfy a net-zero claim at all, and a new wave of carbon-credit insurance moved non-delivery risk off buyers' balance sheets.
This session puts the market players who build that stack in the same room and asks them to show, concretely, how their tools combine into an actual portfolio decision, and where the stack still has gaps.
