Join Arka Raina and Alicia "Andi" Tarver in London for International Generalist Day — a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 16th, 2026.
Arka and Andi are hosting a full-day co-working session at Work.Life Old Street in Shoreditch to connect London-area generalists, get some real work done side by side, and put whatever you're stuck on in front of a room of people who think in more than one direction. Open to everyone, member or not, with an optional Hot Seat after lunch.
What is a generalist?
Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

Spaces are limited, so grab one early
☕ Arrive whenever you like, from 9:30. Some light music's on, coffee, tea and pastries are out, and there's no "right everyone, welcome" moment to sit through. Just grab a name tag and find your spot.
💻 Then get your head down. Desks, fast wifi, more than enough plugs to go around, and a room full of generalists working their magic. Every table has a flip card. One side says you're open to a chat, the other says you're in focus mode. Flip it whenever you like. Nobody takes it personally, that's what it's for.
🍽️ Lunch, together. 13:00. We all stop at the same time and head somewhere nearby to eat. Lunch isn't provided, so this is a great leave-your-desk, walk-down-the-road situation, which is honestly the easiest way to actually everyone. Sitting in the same space as someone for four hours doesn't mean you've met them.
🔥 The Hot Seat. 14:00. Totally optional, and nothing to prepare. Bring whatever you've been noodling on for weeks (or just today). It could be a pitch, proposal, product idea, pricing, you name it. Tell us about it and get ten minutes of real feedback from other generalists working through similar stuff.
💻 Then back to it, until 17:30. Stay as long as it's useful and go when you need to.
