Teamscape Lab Berlin: Resolving The Tension Between Stability and Innovation
The Certainty Habit
Watch how your team responds to AI. Someone's already building new workflows. Someone else is waiting for proof. One person wants a clear process before they touch it. Another is experimenting with no system at all.
There could be four different instincts in one team using the same tool.
That gap between "experimental <> traditional" and "structured <> flexible" existed long before AI showed up. It has just become more visible and expensive to ignore now.
What's Really Going On
That tension tends to get labelled as resistance to change, a skills gap, or a culture problem. These diagnoses are hard to act on because they describe the symptom, not the source.
Where you sit on the grid (how experimental you tend to be, and how much structure you bring to it) shapes what you reach for, what you trust, and what you tend to overlook. When those differences go unexamined, decisions get sticky. Progress stalls in ways that feel personal, even when they are structural.
Most people fail to notice this pattern in themselves until someone names it. The ones who do find it change how they hire, how they design change, and how they read team conflict.
The lab
In this live, in-person Teamscape Lab, you will physically map where you sit on the grid alongside the people in the room. Then you will work through a real-time challenge with people whose instincts pull in a different direction and experience exactly where those differences create friction, and where they create something better.
You will leave with one commitment for yourself and for your teams.
The Format
A structured, hands-on experience hosted by Jörg Schmitz (The Inclusive Leadership Institute), with space for real conversation. No panels, slide decks, or sales pitches.
