Neighborhood Idealist Day 4/4: Connection, Ideas, and Next Steps
After a strong first neighborhood gathering on 3/3, I’m hosting another small Idealist Day meetup on 4/4 to keep building momentum, connection, and practical next steps.
This gathering will be rooted in my neighborhood, because that is where the first experiment took place and where we already have some real energy. The format will stay simple and informal: people meeting people, sharing a little food, talking about ideas, and looking for one or two small ways to make our corner of the world a bit better.
One of the main goals for this 4/4 meetup is to begin building an opt-in neighborhood communication network for anyone who wants to stay connected. That could support practical things like future gatherings, emergency communication, neighborhood activities, and local improvement efforts.
If you live elsewhere in Denver and have signed up here, you are absolutely welcome to attend. While this particular gathering is neighborhood-centered, I also hope it can serve as a live example of how small, local Idealist Day gatherings can take shape in other parts of the city. My hope is that people leave not only feeling connected to this event, but also more confident about creating something similar where they live.
If there is interest, I’d also be glad to connect after the meetup over coffee or in a casual follow-up conversation with anyone who wants to talk about what might happen on 5/5 and beyond, whether that means joining something larger, collaborating across neighborhoods, or organizing something in your own community.
Idealist Days are about taking one small step, visibly and together. That is what I’m hoping to keep testing here.
