Friday Night (y)In + Sound
Friday Night (y)In + Sound ✨
Friday night in… but make it cosy.
What if your Friday night didn't need to involve getting dressed up, battling through town, spending £££ on drinks or waking up the next morning wondering where the night went? 😂
Instead…
Fairy lights.
Soft music.
Yin yoga.
Crystal bowls.
Herbal tea.
A little reflection.
And a room full of lovely people.
Welcome to Friday Night (y)In + Sound — our cosy take on a Friday night in.
A chance to press pause at the end of the week, settle into your body and spend 90 minutes moving slowly, breathing deeply and letting yourself be held by the sound of crystal bowls.
And then, if you'd like to stay a little longer, we'll have herbal tea available and space to linger, chat, reflect and connect.
No rushing home.
No pressure to socialise.
No need to make plans afterwards.
Just a cosy Friday evening to yourself. ✨
🌙 What to expect
We'll begin with 40 minutes of Yin yoga, to 20 mins of Nidra + Savasana, led by Katrina, with crystal bowls as your soundscape woven throughout the practice by Finola.
Yin is slow, quiet and mostly floor-based, with longer-held poses designed to give you time to soften, breathe and simply be.
Come exactly as you are after whatever kind of week you've had.
We'll finish with a card pull and a little moment of reflection to take whatever you need from the evening.
Then we'll have the option to stay for herbal tea, connection and conversation under the fairy lights.
You can stay for five minutes or stay for a while.
There's no agenda. Just see what feels good.
This is your Friday night in if…
You'd rather:
✨ swap the pub for a yoga mat
✨ swap loud music for crystal bowls
✨ swap rushing around for slowing right down
✨ spend your evening somewhere cosy and welcoming
✨ meet some lovely people without the pressure of “networking”
✨ have a proper exhale after a busy week
✨ do something that feels good without needing to achieve anything
Basically…
Friday night out? Maybe next week. 😂
What to bring
As we're in the Village Hall and don't have storage for equipment, you'll need to bring your own:
🧘♀️ Yoga mat
🧣 Blanket
🛏️ Pillow or cushion
🧘♀️ Any other yoga props you'd like to use
Think cosy.
Bring socks. Bring layers. Bring the comfiest blanket you own.
You want to be warm and comfortable while you're lying still, so don't be afraid to overpack the cosy stuff.
We'll provide the herbal tea, please bring your own travel mug or cup.
A little note about Yin
Yin can be very still, and poses are held for longer than in a typical yoga class.
We'll always encourage you to listen to your own body and make yourself comfortable, with options offered throughout.
If you're completely new to Yin, don't worry, we'll guide you through everything.

🌻 About your host
I’m Katrina, founder of Slow Social Society.
I’ve been holding spaces through yoga, coaching, and community experiences since 2018, with a background in NLP, EFT/tapping, and nervous system-based practices.
Everything I host is designed to feel grounding, welcoming, and human.
I’m Finola, a sound healing practitioner and founder of Sage Sound Therapy, passionate about using crystal singing bowls to balance the mind, body, and spirit, and harmonise us with the Earth’s frequency. The bowls each correspond to a chakra (or energy centre) within the body, and when played, can have such a special impact- increasing feelings of calm, confidence, releasing stuck emotion, promoting better sleep and mental clarity, and so much more- all though simply listening and feeling the energy.
