Held in the Hips
Where tension lives, release begins.
The hips, pelvis, and low back hold more than we realize — stress, emotion, fatigue, and the weight of modern life. This workshop offers a gentle, guided space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and find ease through movement, rest, and community.
Through an intentionally supportive blend of Chinese medicine wisdom, Qi Gong, breathwork, community acupuncture, journaling, and a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra, we'll explore how the body holds tension — and how it can let go.
The experience will include:
Chinese medicine education exploring the Liver and Kidney systems, stress physiology, grounding, and the body’s relationship to tension and flow
Gentle movement practices incorporating Qi Gong, mobility work, breath-led movement, and restorative yoga-inspired practices
Nervous system regulation tools and embodied awareness practices
Community acupuncture to support relaxation, grounding, circulation, and integration
Guided journaling prompts for reflection and deeper self-inquiry
A deeply restorative guided Yoga Nidra practice to support integration, rest, and reconnection
This workshop may resonate with anyone experiencing:
chronic stress or nervous system overwhelm
hip or low back tension
fatigue or burnout
feelings of being physically or emotionally “stuck”
disconnection from their body
shallow breathing or chronic bracing patterns
stress-related tension accumulation
periods of transition, depletion, or overwhelm
a desire for gentler, more restorative approaches to wellness and movement
No previous movement, yoga, or Qi Gong experience is necessary. All practices will be accessible, adaptable, and supportive of varying bodies and experience levels.
Come as you are. Leave feeling grounded, softer, and more at home in your body.
