Coffee Meets Bagel and Matchmaker Cassindy are taking over Fang Restaurant for a night of tiles, bites, drinks, and a little matchmaking. 💕 Chef Kathy Fang has a lovely bagel/noshing platter for all of us!
Before the event, you’ll fill out a short questionnaire that determines your secret compatibility tile. Then, during the night, it’s up to you to find the person with your matching tile 👀
Along the way, learn to play mahjong (or show off your skills), meet new people, and see where the night takes you. Beginners welcome
Your ticket includes a bagel-meets-Chinese noshing table and a coffee-themed welcome cocktail/drink, with dim sum and additional drinks available to order.
No mahjong experience needed, just come ready to play, mingle, and maybe meet your match.

Event Terms & Conditions
These Terms apply to Coffee Meets Mahjong (the “Event”), hosted by Coffee Meets Bagel (“CMB”) and Matchmaker Cassindy on Thursday, October 22 at Fang Restaurant, San Francisco.
By registering for or attending the Event, you agree to these Terms.
1. Assumption of Risk
You understand that attending the Event involves meeting and socializing with people you may not know, eating and drinking, including potentially consuming alcohol, and participating in games and activities in a restaurant environment.
These activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
injury, illness, or allergic reaction;
loss of or damage to personal property; and
interactions with other attendees during the Event or arising from connections made at the Event.
You are attending voluntarily and knowingly assume these risks, both known and unknown.
You are responsible for your own health and safety, including your food and beverage choices, alcohol consumption, personal belongings, and decisions regarding interactions with other attendees.
2. Food, Allergens & Alcohol
Food and beverages at the Event may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including wheat/gluten, sesame, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish.
Food and beverages will be prepared or provided by Fang Restaurant and other applicable vendors. CMB and Matchmaker Cassindy cannot guarantee that any item is allergen-free.
If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, you are responsible for speaking directly with venue staff before eating or drinking anything.
Alcohol will be served by Fang Restaurant in accordance with applicable licensing requirements and only to guests who are 21 years of age or older with valid identification.
Anyone who appears intoxicated may be refused alcohol service or asked to leave the Event.
Please drink responsibly and arrange safe transportation home.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you release, waive, and agree not to bring claims against Coffee Meets Bagel and its affiliates, Matchmaker Cassindy, Fang Restaurant, Event sponsors and partners, and their respective owners, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, and volunteers (collectively, the “Released Parties”) arising out of or relating to your attendance at or participation in the Event.
This includes claims resulting from the ordinary negligence of a Released Party and claims relating to:
your attendance at or participation in the Event;
food, beverages, games, or activities at the Event;
personal injury, illness, property loss, or property damage; and
interactions with other attendees arising from connections made through the Event.
This release does not apply to claims resulting from gross negligence, reckless conduct, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be waived.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from third-party claims arising from your own negligent, unlawful, or wrongful conduct in connection with the Event.
This release is binding on you and, where legally applicable, your heirs, representatives, and assigns.
4. Matchmaking & Meeting Other Attendees
The compatibility questionnaire, secret compatibility tiles, and any matchmaking activities are provided for entertainment and social purposes only.
CMB and Matchmaker Cassindy do not guarantee:
a match;
compatibility between attendees;
romantic interest;
a relationship; or
any particular outcome from attending the Event.
Participation in the Event does not mean that CMB or Matchmaker Cassindy has screened, endorsed, or verified the suitability of any attendee.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, attendees have not been subject to background checks specifically in connection with this Event.
You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with attendees during or after the Event, including any plans you make independently after the Event ends.
We encourage you to follow common-sense dating safety practices, including meeting in public places, arranging your own transportation, and letting someone you trust know your plans.
5. Code of Conduct
Coffee Meets Mahjong should feel fun, welcoming, and safe for everyone.
By attending, you agree to:
Treat other guests, hosts, organizers, and Fang Restaurant staff with respect.
Respect personal boundaries and understand that interest must be mutual.
Accept “no” or “no thanks” gracefully.
Not make unwanted advances or unwanted physical contact.
Share contact information only by mutual choice and not pressure anyone to share theirs.
Not harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against anyone based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, appearance, or any other protected characteristic.
Play mahjong for entertainment only, with no gambling or wagering.
Not photograph or record other attendees individually without their permission.
Follow reasonable instructions from Event staff and Fang Restaurant staff.
Follow all venue rules.
CMB and Matchmaker Cassindy may refuse entry to or remove anyone whose behaviour violates these Terms, disrupts the Event, or creates a safety concern.
Guests removed for violating the Code of Conduct may not be entitled to a refund.
Where appropriate, CMB may also take action in relation to a participant’s Coffee Meets Bagel account.
To report a concern during the Event, please speak to an Event staff member.
6. Questionnaire & Privacy
Your responses to the pre-Event questionnaire will be used to facilitate the compatibility matching experience at the Event and may be shared with Matchmaker Cassindy for that purpose.
Your name and compatibility tile may be visible to other attendees as part of the Event experience.
Your individual questionnaire responses will not be shared with other attendees.
CMB will handle personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Where another Event partner independently collects or stores your personal information, that partner may also process your information in accordance with its own privacy practices.
7. Photography, Filming & Media Release
The Event will be photographed and filmed.
By registering for and attending the Event, you understand that your image, likeness, voice, and appearance may be captured in photographs, video, audio recordings, or other media.
You grant Coffee Meets Bagel, Matchmaker Cassindy, and Fang Restaurant a royalty-free right to use Event footage or photographs containing your image, likeness, or voice in connection with:
social media;
websites;
public relations;
press coverage;
promotional materials; and
other marketing relating to CMB, Matchmaker Cassindy, the Event, or future events.
You understand that you will not receive compensation for such use and that additional approval may not be requested before content is published.
Photography and filming may take place throughout the Event and there is no general opt-out from appearing incidentally in Event photography or video.
Where reasonably possible, please speak with Event staff before the Event begins if you have a specific safety or privacy concern regarding photography.
8. Eligibility, Tickets & Refunds
You must be at least 21 years old to attend the Event and must bring valid photo identification.
Tickets are currently $35 and include:
entry to the Event;
access to the bagel-meets-Chinese noshing table; and
one coffee-themed welcome drink.
Dim sum and additional beverages will be available for separate purchase.
Ticket prices may change prior to purchase.
Ticket payments are processed and collected by Matchmaker Cassindy, not Coffee Meets Bagel. All net proceeds will go to Chef Fang and the venue and not to Matchmaker Cassindy.
CMB does not collect, hold, process, or issue refunds for Event ticket payments.

Tickets are non-refundable except:
where stated otherwise in these Terms;
if the Event is cancelled; or
where a refund is required by applicable law.
9. Event Changes, Rescheduling & Cancellation
CMB and Matchmaker Cassindy may reasonably modify Event details, including:
the schedule;
activities;
programming;
hosts;
participating partners;
menu items;
food and beverage offerings; and
other Event elements.
If the Event is rescheduled, ticket holders will be notified of the new date and any applicable refund or transfer options.
If the Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, ticket holders will receive a refund from Matchmaker Cassindy, as the party handling ticket payments.
CMB is not responsible for incidental expenses incurred by attendees in connection with Event changes, rescheduling, or cancellation, except where required by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
11. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Registration Acknowledgement
By registering for the Event, you confirm that:
I am 21 years of age or older and have read and agree to the Coffee Meets Mahjong Terms & Conditions, including the Assumption of Risk, Release and Waiver of Liability, Code of Conduct, and Photography, Filming & Media Release.
I understand that ticket prices are subject to change and that ticket payments are not made to Coffee Meets Bagel. Payments are collected and handled entirely by Matchmaker Cassindy, including any applicable refunds.
