Serious Games for Serious Change - Full-day Open Space
Join us to play, experiment, and collaborate! We’re excited to invite you to our next community event: an all-day Open Space dedicated to serious games and playful ways to tackle real work challenges.
You don’t need to be a “gamer” or an expert — all you need is an open and curious mind.
This event is for anyone interested in using games for professional growth, team building, or creative problem-solving, especially:
– Leaders and managers who want fresh, engaging ways to work with their teams
– Game designers and developers who’d like to test or refine ideas
– Facilitators, coaches, and trainers looking for new tools and formats
This is an “Open Space”: a living marketplace of ideas. Right after morning coffee, anyone with a topic worth exploring names it, and the agenda writes itself on the spot. Minimal structure: just times and rooms to meet, nothing more. From there, you follow your curiosity. The Law of Two Feet gives you full freedom to move: if a circle stops nourishing you, walk to another, no questions asked. Drop in just to listen, or dive in and share what you know. No sales, just people gathering around what matters to them right now. Fun fact: Consultant Harrison Owen created the format in 1985, after noticing the best conference conversations always happened during coffee breaks.
Show up curious. Bring your favorite game, prototype or challenge you want to explore.
We’ll keep you fuelled so you can focus on creativity and connection: coffee and 🥐 in the morning, a simple lunch with soup at midday, and we’ll wrap up well before dinner.
You’ll leave with new ideas, simple activities you can reuse in your own context, and connections with people facing similar questions. Come ready to share, play, and discover — maybe bring one game, question, or challenge you’d like to explore with others.
