Safe, Open, and Equitable: Reimagining Global Research Collaboration
Tuesday 27 October
11:00-12:30, Royal College of Physicians
Arrival from 10:45am. A light lunch will be provided at the end of the event.
The UK Collaborative on Development Research (UKCDR) is pleased to invite you to join participants from the OECD Global Science Forum, Global Research Council European Regional Meeting, and representatives from research funding organisations, government, academia, industry, and the wider international research and innovation community, for a session aiming to advance discussion on how research security, open science and equitable partnerships can be aligned to support safe, secure, ethical, and inclusive global collaboration.
This event will connect current global initiatives such as the G7 commitment to research security and integrity, the OECD’s Global Science Forum (GSF) project on Research Integrity and Security, the Global Research Council’s Statement of principles on Open Science, and Science Europe’s work on Research Security, with the choices facing funders that support international development R&D.
This side-event will take place as part of a series of events hosted by UKRI in the week of 26th October 2026, in London, focused on advancing discussions around curiosity-driven research policy.
