A Traditional Chinese Medicine Day 秋收宴
A TCM Inspired Day 秋收宴 five elements:
🥢 a four-course vegan meal
🍵 a tea pairing
🌿 TCM practices with Roberta Barone
🧘 Intro to Baduanjin Qi Gong
🪷 Ear seeds + moxa + herbal tea to take home
Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient approach to wellbeing that sees the body and seasons as deeply connected. Rather than treating symptoms, TCM asks: “How can I eat and live in harmony with the season?”
For autumn, TCM teaches us: The season is about gathering energy, nourishing the lungs, and moving from summer’s heat into winter’s rest. This shows up in what we eat, how we breathe, and how we care for ourselves.
An intimate day dedicated to warmth, nourishment and presence. Through a four-course vegan meal, a carefully paired tea journey and hands-on TCM-inspired practices, we’ll explore how the changing season can invite us to slow down and take care of ourselves.
The experience
🥢 TCM-inspired food
Prepared by TCM Chef Lavia Lin, the menu takes inspiration from homecooked Chinese food and the seasonal principles of TCM, with carefully researched ingredients traditionally associated with autumn nourishment.
🍵 A tea pairing arc
Selected teas accompany the meal, creating a gentle progression through the different courses and flavours.
🌿 TCM & seasonal wellness
TCM Practitioner Roberta Barone will introduce some of the fundamental ideas behind TCM and guide us through simple practices, including ear seed mapping and moxa.
🧘 An introduction to Qi Gong
We’ll also explore the foundations of Baduanjin, one of the best-known Qi Gong movement sequences, in a gentle session moderated by Giulia Cosola.
Your gift
Each guest will leave with their own ear seed set and a herbal tea to continue the experience at home.
Come for a slow autumn day of food, tea and traditional practices and leave with a little more warmth to carry into the season.
