Rewind: A 90s Social Afternoon
Update:
Registration is now closed as Rewind is currently full, and the existing waitlist is already substantial. Thank you so much for the interest.
Following a sold-out Film & Culture Quiz Night, UCL Culture Club is back with Rewind: a curated 90s-themed social afternoon for alumni and friends across schools.
If you’re in town during the long weekend, join alumni across schools for a few hours of structured mingling, mini-missions, and small interactive challenges over lunch. Expect a mix of nostalgic 90s references across film, music, TV, books, early Internet culture, and the wider cultural landscape of the decade.
Participating schools currently include UCL, Yale, Columbia, INSEAD, NYU, LBS, Penn/Wharton, Oxford, Cambridge, Cornell, ESSEC, HKUBS, Duke, Michigan, Berkeley, KCL, LSE, and Stanford GSB.
What to expect
Interactive stations with light 90s touches (photo quests, small-group activities, and other surprises)
Lighthearted, intentional prompts to make cross-school mingling easier
An event passport to complete across the afternoon
A small reward for completing your passport
Prize for Best Dressed (90s-inspired)
Event details
Date: Saturday, 2 May 2026
Time: 11:00am–3:00pm
Venue: Funan (venue revealed upon confirmation)
Ticket: $68 (inclusive of lunch and activities)
Capacity: Limited; +1s welcome
Rewind is designed for people who find it easier to meet others by doing something together. It is not standard networking or a fixed-team event: the format is built around short, rotating interactions so attendees can naturally mix across different groups over the course of the afternoon. You’re welcome to attend with friends, but the format is intended to help people move around and meet others rather than stay with the same group throughout.
The tone is grown-up fun: low-key, playful, thoughtful, and slightly absurd. No prior group, team, or serious 90s knowledge is needed. The light-touch format is designed to make it easy to join in, even if you’re coming alone or don’t know many people yet.

Registration
Our last event sold out with a waitlist, so early registration is recommended. Attendance is curated for balance across schools, and approvals will be sent in stages.
Selected participants will receive a payment request via WhatsApp. Your spot is only confirmed upon receipt of payment.
Places are allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis. Approval does not reserve a place, and repeated non-confirmation or late cancellations may affect priority for future events.
+1s are welcome but should register separately. Alumni from participating schools will be prioritised if demand exceeds capacity.
