Animal Noir Reading

​Animal Noir is a vibey anthology filled with 11 noir stories featuring a unique cast of anthropomorphic animals.

​Some say they are hard-boiled, others say cozy, others say a mix. The official synopsis says one thing, but maybe it's all things. Editors only know so much, and the noir genre is so different depending on who you ask. So how about you come and decide for yourself?

​There will be books and stickers and laughter, and if the other events at Salon Rouge say anything, a really great Q&A!

​Oh, and, though it's not required, we highly encourage you to dress in a noir aesthetic. Nothing like leaning into the spirit of it all!

​Why do I need to RSVP?

​Because one can't just share a speakeasy's address, can they? And what better place to have a reading for a noir anthology than a true speakeasy—moody, velvet chairs, owners who are as cool as they are sweet (and I hear they serve a mean drink).

​When do I need to RSVP by?

​The day of, truly. I'll send out the address a week before, then again a few days later, then the morning of. It'll be sent as an email and/or text, depending on how you set things up.
