About Event

Join us for an evening of wine, advocacy, and community as we come together to support those affected by the escalating ICE activity in Minnesota and beyond.

Thursday, February 5 | 6 PM PST/9 PM EST via Zoom

This winter has brought dangerous, ICE cold conditions in more ways than one.

Many of us have seen the deeply disturbing images and videos coming out of Minnesota. At the same time, ICE has increased its activity in other states, including Maine — where it has referred to its operation as "Catch of the Day" — as well as in the Kansas City metro area. We are witnessing children, immigrants, and even U.S. citizens being detained and, in some cases, k*lled.

Alongside this violence, we’ve also seen moments of real hope: Inspiring videos of protestors, volunteers, and so-called "organized gangs of wine moms" coming together in Minnesota to speak out, show up for their neighbors, and protect their community.

If you’ve been watching the news and wondering “What can I do?” this is your invitation to pour a glass, show up, and advocate together.

Proceeds will support the Minnesota Immigrant Defense Network.

What to Expect:

  • 🍷 Wine & Unwind: We’ll kick things off with a BYOB wine tasting led by sommelier Megumi Calver...because let’s be real, this is a f*cking disaster and we deserve it.

  • 🔥 Fireside Chat: Attorney, author, and award-winning podcast co-host Misasha Suzuki Graham will help us make sense of what’s happening, what may be next, and how to cut through the doomscrolling with clarity and purpose.

  • 📝 Actionable Takeaways: Armed with her legal expertise and advocacy experience, Misasha will share practical steps we can take to push back, support one another, and protect our neighbors and ourselves.

  • 👯‍♀️ Community Support: This isn’t a lecture but a conversation! You’re encouraged to ask questions and share your experiences. This is an evening to remind ourselves that we are not alone in this fight!

All are invited to join us in this important conversation.
