EA Summit: Lusaka 2026
EA Summit: Lusaka is a one-day conference for people from across Zambia who are interested in using reason and evidence to find the most effective ways to help others, and want to connect with people putting those ideas into practice.
Whether you’re completely new to effective altruism or already actively involved, the Summit is an opportunity to explore big global challenges, hear from people working on them, and connect with others who care about having a meaningful impact.
Programme
There will be opportunities to explore a range of topics including:
Global health and development
Animal welfare
Pandemic prevention and biosecurity
Existential risk from emerging technologies (AI Safety)
Using your career to have a positive impact
The day will include talks, workshops, and plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking.
Is there an event fee?
Our event is free of charge. Your ticket includes conference entry, a vegan lunch and snacks, and access to Swapcard – our conference app.
