About Event

Best Time: May – June OR September
Where to Camp: BLM dispersed camping near Cimarron Road outside the park.
Kayaking: Blue Mesa Reservoir – Colorado’s largest lake.
Best Hike (<10 miles): North Vista Trail to Exclamation Point – ~6–7 miles with Painted Wall views.
Hot Springs: Orvis Hot Springs in Ridgway on the return drive.

Stops on the Drive:

· The Gunnisack – Gunnison

· Curecanti National Recreation Area scenic viewpoints
