On May 16, we journey beyond the lights of Southern California to explore the living heritage of the Kumeyaay people — guardians of this land for thousands of years.
Together we will walk through stories, symbols, traditions, and landscapes connected to one of the oldest living cultures in North America.
Inspired by the philosophy of “ The Acorn To Oaks ” this experience invites us to reflect on: 🌿 roots and belonging 🌿 community and continuity 🌿 ancient knowledge and modern identity 🌿 the relationship between people, land, and memory
We will explore the atmosphere of Jamul Indian Village, learn about Kumeyaay and Lakota traditions, search for traces of ancient history, experience music and movement, and connect through shared cultural discovery.
Because communities are not built only through events — but through understanding the stories of the land beneath our feet.
