LiP Online - Portfolio Jam: From Blank Page to Your Story

​You just need a story worth telling to get started, and you probably already have more than you think.

​Our very own Lou Aranzabal, currently pursuing her MSBA @UW in Seattle, will run this Portfolio Jam.

​You can expect an informal, collaborative live workshop where we work through a practical method for building a portfolio using the experiences you already have: professional, personal, and everything in between ✨

​Whether you're growing in your current field, pivoting into a new one, or just getting started with documenting your work, this session will help you see your background differently and give you a concrete way to start.

​Here's what we'll cover:

• ​Why your personal life is fair game for your portfolio (and how to frame it credibly)

• ​The STAR storytelling framework and how to use AI to do the heavy lifting

• ​How to build a case bank in any tool you already use (from Notion to even spreadsheets and docs!) so your portfolio grows without overwhelming you

• ​How to pick and package the right cases depending on what you're applying for

​Expect live sketching, honest conversation, and a chance to think out loud. Since it’s a collaborative session, having cameras on and opening your mics to interact will be expected.
